The price at the pump is down again in Central Jersey, but not as much as in recent weeks. They were down a dime across the board this week, after seeing double digit decreases for the last seven. Here are the Central Jersey averages, followed by the AAA national average for the week ending January 23rd:
Regular - Central Jersey: $1.83, down 5-cents; National: $2.04, down 5-cents.
Mid-grade - Central Jersey: $2.14, down 5-cents; National: $2.26, down 5-cents.
Premium - Central Jersey: $2.32, down 5-cents; National: $2.45, down 5-cents.
Local averages are calculated using the prices at ten gas stations in Edison, Franklin, New Brunswick, North Brunswick and South Brunswick. The national average is calculated by using the AAA's fuel gauge report, which can be found here.
