Senior Gary Nova named Rutgers football team's starting QB

It took less than a week of preseason camp for Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood to name his starting quarterback, and no surprise:  it’ll be Gary Nova.  The senior impressed with a solid spring, and carried it through the first seven practices of preseason camp.  He’ll make his third career season opening star on Thursday night, August 28th, when the Scarlet Knights begin the 2014 season – their first in the Big Ten – with a game in Seattle against Washington State.  Flood says he expects to name his Number Two quarterback after Monday’s practice:  either senior Mike Bimonte or redshirt freshman Chris Laviano.
